Lenore Chinn is a San Francisco based artist and cultural activist long affiliated with Asian American Women Artists Association

A founding member of Lesbians in the Visual Arts and Queer Cultural Center (Qcc) www.queerculturalcenter.org, she served on the San Francisco Human Rights Commission under Mayor Art Agnos during a time when the City was shaping policies relating to domestic partners, defining benefits and rights that would have far reaching implications nationwide.
