Since the first percolations of this series began, we’ve visited over twenty five cities to search for participants willing to be photographed. Some cities we had to return more than once to document the number of people who wanted to get involved. In other cities, we weren’t able to find anyone. Being visible is dangerous. It is an act of resistance and resilience. Beyond these single moments in times seen here, behind the smiles, tough poses, and intense looks, are incredibly brave individuals who are willing to share their stories.
