A Place in the Middle
A PLACE IN THE MIDDLE is the true story of a young girl in Hawaiʻi who dreams of leading the boys-only hula group at her school, and a teacher who empowers her through traditional culture. This kid-friendly educational film is a great way to get students thinking and talking about the values of diversity and inclusion, the power of knowing your heritage, and how to prevent bullying by creating a school climate of aloha – from their own point of view!
One Love Oceania (OLO)
OLO (One Love Oceania) is a queer, Pacific Islander women’s support, art and activist organization based in the Bay Area. OLO consists of trailblazing queer women of Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian descent who explore the complexities and intersections of gender, sexualities, class, race, colonialisms, resistance movements, and Pacific Islander diasporic histories through muti-medium performances that fuse dance, music, film, theater and poetry.

United Territories of Pacific Islanders Alliance (U.TO.P.I.A.)
Our mission is to promote unity & strength among the Polynesian/Pacific Islanders Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender community. (LGBT) To provide support and guidance to our youths regarding sexual orientation and how it is viewed within the Polynesian/Pacific Islanders culture. To provide awareness to the LGBT, Polynesian/Pacific and greater community on issues regarding the prejudices and difficulties LGBT Polynesians/Pacific Islanders face and to propose potential solutions. To provide education regarding the various Polynesian/Pacific Islanders cultures and the difficulties of assimilation into the United States society without losing their heritage. Provide a positive, life-affirming experience for people affected and infected by HIV. To offer a referral service to Polynesians/Pacific Islanders to help them address problems they face as recent immigrants to the United States. To share our culture with the greater community through traditional songs and dance. To Increase awareness and knowledge about the services and programs offered by the benefiting organizations.
Barangay Los Angeles
Barangay LA is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning Filipinos; to meet and discuss concerns relevant to being Filipino and LGBTQ; to foster positive self-esteem; and to advocate on behalf of its members and the LGBTQ community of Los Angeles.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY API PFLAG
The influx of both foreign-born and second generation APIs prompt those in the the social and mental health services an increased level of concern, as they attempt to accommodate the needs of a culture of individuals who generally avoid the use of their services. Development of a culture-specific framework for delivery of services is a matter of ongoing research and strategic implementation. In providing access to a culturally-specific resource, the variety of cultural representations of the API community must be taken into consideration: the differences in faith, educational level, socio-economic status, health condition, political ideology, past or current military background, home language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and generational and acculturation levels. Being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) and/or having an LGBT family member in the API community is not a new phenomenon.
