Black Girl Dangerous
Black Girl Dangerous (BGD) is the brainchild of award-winning writer Mia McKenzie. The blog is dedicated to amplifying the experiences, voices, and expressions of queer and trans people of color. As BGD puts it, “What started out as a scream of anguish has evolved into a multi-faceted forum for expression.” Since its founding in 2011 the blog has featured over 300 diverse writers from 3 countries, and has reached over 7 million readers. BGD has also published print books, including Black Girls Dangerous on Race, Queerness, Class and Gender, by McKenzie (2014).
